Las Culturas

When you talk about Mexican culture, it’s important to talk about all of its cultures. Mexico has a rich cultural history, dating back at least to the Olmec culture. The Teotihuacan culture emerged and fell before the Aztecs discovered its ruins, and gave it its name, meaning “City of the Gods”. The other most well-known indigenous culture of Mexico is the Maya, but there are countless more including Zapotec and Mixtec cultures in Oaxaca, all of which never disappeared, but syncretized culturally with Spanish, bringing us the rich and thriving cultures that still thrive today in Mexico as they have for thousands of years.
